Pre-Camp CHANGE OF PLANS!!!

There has been a change of plans for pre-camp this weekend...due to weather we WONT be sleeping over but we will still be going up there on Saturday for the daytime activities. We will be meeting at the church at 7 am and you need to have a foil dinner or sack lunch with you to eat for lunch. You need to also bring your camp manuels and if you have a camp or folding chair please bring that as well due to there are no picnic tables or seating at the camp and the ground will be wet. We are unsure about breakfast but we will let you know as soon as we find out!!

New Beginnings

New Beginnings is such a special activity because we are getting the girls excited about personal progress for the year and to introduce the new theme for the year which is the 13th Article of Faith which reads "We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul - We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things."
The theme we chose for New Beginnings was "We seek after these things" which comes from the 13th Article of Faith. We had a wonderful program planned and got to hear from Sister Farmer, Aretha and the Bishop. We got to welcome Amanda into Beehives and we are so excited to get to know her better! Sister Gill planned a fun scavanger hunt around the church that focused around the theme of New Beginnings. The girls found gems at each clue and had to bring them back when they were finished and as a group we went over all of the clues and how they related with what the gems said. After the program we had a delicious cake that Aretha's mom made and some cupcakes that Sister Baker made for us. It turned out to be a really fun night and we really got the girls excited to start working on personal progress this year.
